I am switching to an angled+coiled cable. Should arrive any day. I ordered this because the C-male connection seems to be manufactured in a better way and the coil keeps it nice and short. The C-end seems to be a solid piece of metal. Plus: I love the retro-look of coiled cables. Sorry for only providing german amazon links. Hope it helps
In terms of your budget, get Moondrop Chu, or the CCA CRA. The CRA you can replace the cable if it breaks but you can’t with the Chus, but the Chus are better earphones. Don’t go KZ IMO - they’re hyped up but not that good, they’re basically just worse CCA CRAs. Moondrop Chu, new cheap favorite of mine.

And yet data is composed of anecdotes. Particularly, the fact that many people have said their Kindle cable is very durable compared to other cables they have had. The cable that came with my portable drive has outlasted half a dozen others, and yet they all are treated the same.
The one case that's a little tricky is if your PC is TBT3, and you give it a USB4-40G cable. The original USB-C and USB PD specs released in 2019 allowed for a USB4-40G cable without a Thunderbolt 3 Discover Mode response.
