A USB v3.1 with USB-C connector can carry 100W (20v at 5a) and 10Gbps transfer speed. But it is also backwards compatible for USB v3, v2, and v1.1 for both power and data. So basically a USB-C cable connected to a USB v3.1 port can communicate with any USB device using a physical adapter.
I am switching to an angled+coiled cable. Should arrive any day. I ordered this because the C-male connection seems to be manufactured in a better way and the coil keeps it nice and short. The C-end seems to be a solid piece of metal. Plus: I love the retro-look of coiled cables. Sorry for only providing german amazon links. Hope it helps
I made sure the block was secure, put the cord in a position where no strain would happen, and plugged it in in a way that was natural and caused no strain. Cue the constant connection and disconnection sound accompanied by the screen dimming and brightening. This happens all the time, this example is just a specific instance.
USB-C port has no problems even though it has seen harsh treatment from people tripping over my cable, charges perfectly. It is great to have one powerful charger for my notebook, phone, headphones, powerbank, mouse or whatever. The Pixel doesn't use QC 2.0. It uses USB-PD, short for Power Delivery. This requires a USB-C to USB-C cable connected to a USB-PD-compatible charger. The charger that comes with the phone supports USB-PD. Any certified USB-C cable should be able to plug into it and use the rapid charging. caverunner17 • 7 yr. ago.
In terms of your budget, get Moondrop Chu, or the CCA CRA. The CRA you can replace the cable if it breaks but you can’t with the Chus, but the Chus are better earphones. Don’t go KZ IMO - they’re hyped up but not that good, they’re basically just worse CCA CRAs. Moondrop Chu, new cheap favorite of mine.

I found this USB-C to barrel plug adapter and it works! Tested it with Windows set to "Best performance" and running CPU-demanding tasks with max screen brightness. The battery level goes up during this, so I'm happy. The standard HP charger outputs 45W. This Anker charger has three ports: 45W USB-C 20W USB-C 12W USB-A
And yet data is composed of anecdotes. Particularly, the fact that many people have said their Kindle cable is very durable compared to other cables they have had. The cable that came with my portable drive has outlasted half a dozen others, and yet they all are treated the same.
The one case that's a little tricky is if your PC is TBT3, and you give it a USB4-40G cable. The original USB-C and USB PD specs released in 2019 allowed for a USB4-40G cable without a Thunderbolt 3 Discover Mode response. This kind of cable would not be detected by older TBT3 hosts as a 40G capable cable, so they'd drop down to 20G.
